A Butterfly Tale wants to help you learn about the butterfly, their life cycle and natural habitat through a live hands-on experience in a fun interactive environment. Of course the magic of their beauty helps too!
“…This was an amazing educational experience for all of our preschool students. The children enjoyed the story time and the hands on learning. They learned about the life cycle of the butterfly. Of course, getting to feed and be with the butterflies was just an awesome experience. This is our favorite special visitor each year…”
The Little Explorer program offers children an opportunity for hands on discovery and exploration of the butterfly life stages through their natural host plants, free flight and feeding.
Children are introduced to the butterfly life cycle through an interactive story, given time to ask questions and discuss what they have learned. This is then followed by hands on interaction with the butterfly life stages. Butterflies laying eggs, caterpillars, chrysalis and feeding butterflies.
The Little Lepidopterist program offers everything in Little Scientist, plus extra time for your little lepidopterist to further explore and interact with the live butterflies, caterpillars, chrysalis, and monarch mama’s laying eggs. In addition they will have the opportunity to explore the wonders of butterflies through the lens of a compound microscope.
Q: What is a lepidopterist? A: Person who studies and observes butterflies and moths.
A Butterfly Tale offers an alternative to the Live Butterfly Life Cycle experience. Simply put, the magic of butterflies.
