Tropical Milkweed is a favorite of the Monarch and many others. This is the preferred Monarch host plant here at A Butterfly Tale. Female Monarchs will cover these plants with eggs and the emerging caterpillars will do their best to devour the leaves. It’s quite a sight to see! Once the caterpillars get their fill, these plants will quickly grow back their leaves. Also attracts bees, hummingbirds and makes a wonderful cut flower.
